Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-29 · Effective October 29, 2026
The short version (the full terms below are what count):
  • Lustre is software for running a cleaning business. You own the data you put in it.
  • You're responsible for having permission to store your clients' and team members' information and to text or email them.
  • Lustre doesn't give tax, payroll, employment or legal advice. Check numbers before you rely on them.
  • Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time and export your data.
  • We never sell your data, and our support team only opens your account when you turn on support access.

1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms

Lustre ("Lustre", "we", "us") is provided by Apta Cleaning LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Lustre App. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between us and the business or person who uses Lustre ("you"). By creating an account, checking the box at sign-up, or using Lustre, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Lustre for a business, you confirm you're authorized to accept these Terms for that business. You must be at least 18 years old.

2. The service

Lustre is a web application for residential cleaning businesses to manage clients, schedules, team members, quotes, invoices, messages and finances (the "Service"). Some features are in development or offered as early access and may change. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature you pay for in a way that materially reduces the Service, you may cancel and receive a prorated refund of prepaid fees for the remaining period.

Lustre can be used in two ways: with an account, where data is stored on our cloud servers, or without an account ("this device only"), where data is stored only in your browser on that device. In device-only mode we never receive your business data, and you are solely responsible for backing it up: clearing your browser data or losing the device can permanently delete it.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly at support@golustre.com if you think someone accessed your account without permission. You're responsible for activity under your account, including activity by team members you invite. Give accurate sign-up information and keep it current.

4. Your data

4.1 You own it

Everything you or your team put into Lustre — client lists, addresses, notes, team member details, jobs, photos, invoices, financial entries ("Your Data") — belongs to you. You give us a limited permission to store, process, back up and display Your Data only to provide, secure and support the Service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Your responsibilities for personal information

Your Data includes personal information about other people, such as your clients and team members. For that information you decide what is collected and why, and we process it on your behalf and under your instructions. You are responsible for:

4.3 Messages you send

Lustre can prepare reminder, review-request and quote messages that are sent from your own phone or email app. You are the sender. You are responsible for complying with laws on texts and emails, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CAN-SPAM Act, and with Google's review policies. Only message people who have given you permission to contact them, honor opt-out requests, and never offer incentives for reviews.

4.4 Export and deletion

You can export Your Data at any time from Settings. You can delete your account and all cloud data from Settings at any time; deletion is permanent. After an account is canceled for non-payment, we keep Your Data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep certain billing records.

5. Support access

Our support team cannot see the contents of your account unless you turn on support access in Settings, for a period you choose (up to 30 days). While it's on, our authorized staff may view and change Your Data only to do what you asked — for example, a setup or data import, or fixing a problem. Every support action is logged, and you can see that log. You can turn support access off at any time. Separately, we may access account metadata (business name, plan, sign-up date, record counts) to run billing and the Service, and we may access Your Data without a grant only if required by law or to prevent serious harm, abuse or a security incident.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Lustre to: break the law or help others break it; store or send content that is unlawful, harassing or infringes others' rights; send spam or unsolicited messages; try to access other customers' data or our systems without authorization; probe, scan or test for vulnerabilities without our written permission; overload or disrupt the Service; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; or resell it without our agreement. We may suspend accounts that violate this section, with notice where reasonable.

7. Not professional advice

Lustre's quotes, labor and pay totals, W-2/1099 labels, profit and partner-split figures, cash-reserve suggestions and reports are calculations based on what you enter. They are not tax, accounting, payroll, employment-classification, financial or legal advice. You are responsible for how you classify and pay workers, for taxes and filings, and for the prices you charge. Check important numbers with a qualified professional.

8. Plans, billing, renewal and cancellation

9. Third-party services

Lustre relies on service providers (listed in our Privacy Policy) and links to third-party services such as Venmo, Zelle, Google Maps and Google reviews. We aren't responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their terms.

10. Our intellectual property and feedback

We own the Service, its software, design and branding. These Terms give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep Lustre available and backed up, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance, outages of our providers, or connectivity problems may affect access. Keep your own exports of important data.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service or its calculations will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and (b) our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $100 if greater. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, or to a party's fraud or willful misconduct.

14. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Data, the messages you send, your treatment or classification of workers, or your breach of these Terms or the law, and pay resulting damages and reasonable legal fees awarded or agreed in settlement. We'll notify you promptly of such a claim and cooperate reasonably.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Lustre and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms and don't fix the breach within 10 days of notice, immediately if needed to prevent harm or comply with law, or for non-payment. We may end the Service entirely with at least 60 days' notice and a prorated refund of prepaid fees. Sections 4.4, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 survive termination.

16. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally by written notice and 30 days of good-faith discussion. Any claim that isn't resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction; either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Claims must be brought individually, not as a class or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.

17. General

We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, and ask you to accept the new version; if you don't agree, you may cancel before it takes effect and get a prorated refund of prepaid fees. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement on this subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or sale of the business with notice to you. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If these Terms are translated, the English version controls.
